BioAstin is part of Cyanotech Corporation, a Hawaiian microalgae company founded in 1983 by Dr Gerald Cysewski. What began as an experiment growing spirulina in a garage has grown into one of the world’s leading microalgae cultivation operations, guided by a commitment to quality, sustainability and whole-body wellbeing.

Today, Cyanotech operates across 96 acres of algae cultivation ponds, processing facilities and research buildings in Hawai‘i. Its BioAstin Hawaiian Astaxanthin is created from carefully cultivated microalgae, bringing the nutrient-rich power of Hawaiian-grown algae into a simple daily supplement.
