Ancient Minerals was founded in 2007 by Enviromedica, a wellness-dedicated organisation guided by the principles of evolutionary medicine: that human biology evolved in close relationship with the natural elements of the earth.

Created in response to the growing need for magnesium support, the brand brings the ancestral practice of mineral bathing into simple, everyday formats. Its topical magnesium products are designed to help replenish what modern agriculture, food processing and lifestyle factors may leave lacking.

At the heart of Ancient Minerals is its source. The brand draws its magnesium exclusively from the Genuine Zechstein Seabed in Europe, an ancient underground deposit rich in magnesium chloride and trace minerals.
