Used traditionally by Mayan Indians, Damiana works as a nervine tonic, mildly stimulating and boosting mood as well as libido. These aphrodisiac properties have been recorded for centuries and with damiana working to both relax and gently stimulate it makes perfect sense.

Dandelion leaf

An effective diuretic and mild choleretic (stimulates bile production), the leaf of dandelion is useful for reducing fluid retention and enhancing liver function.

Dandelion root

Traditionally used in cases of liver insufficiency, dandelion root has bitter and mild laxative properties. It stimulates the production and release of bile, thus assisting the excretion of fat-soluble toxins.

Echinacea

A Native American Indians snake bite treatment, this household name has now been supported by numerous clinical trials for its’ immune enhancing actions. Particularly effective in preventing and reducing the severity and length of acute infections. Echinacea has also been found to have strong antioxidant and heavy metal chelating constituents.

Elder

The berries and leaves are both used for common colds and flus, sinusitis, hay fever.Possessing antiviral, immune enhancing and antioxidant properties.

Fennel

Traditionally used as a carminative in the treatment of colic, flatulence and IBS. The seeds are coated with sugar in Indian cuisine and chewed following a meal to ease digestion. Used in breastfeeding, fennel is an affective galactagogue, stimulating the production and release of breast milk.

Goji berries

Also known as wolfberry, goji naturally assists diabetics, is rich in antioxidants and dates back thousands of years to monks obtaining greater health, vitality, longevity, energy and stamina.

Green tea

Dating back 5000 years, the leaves of Camellia Sinensis are second only to water as the world’s most popular beverage. Numerous studies have demonstrated anti-carcinogenic and antioxidant properties. Green tea is used as a neuroprotective, both before and after toxicity as well as in cased of heavy metal poisoning. Containing approximately 3% caffeine and is rich in polyphenols - the interaction between the two attributed to Green tea’s ‘thermogenic’ (fat burning) effect.

Hops

Traditionally used to add the bitter quality to beer. Native American use as a hypnotic oestrogenic… female pickers often began to menstruate 2 days after beginning to pick hops. Enough beer can produce these effects. Sedative, relaxant, antispasmodic.

Lavender

Used as an antibacterial and antimicrobial agent in hospitals of ancient civilizations and again in WW1, common lavender oil is highly effective in first aid.Taken internally as a tea/ tonic (not essential oil), lavender has sedative and anxiolytic properties making it useful for insomnia, nervous bellies (especially Irritable Bowel Syndrome) and mild anxiety.

Lemon balm

The Middle ages used as a sedative and the ancient Greek & Romans used for wound healing. A mood enhancer, lemon balm has calming and anxiety-reducing properties. Digestive upsets related to nervousness often find relief with Lemon Balm, as do some cases of colic.

Lemon myrtle

With a higher antimicrobial activity than Tea Tree and Eucalyptus, Australia’s yellow-blossomed lemon myrtle is revealing significant potential in the prevention and treatment of infection. Historically used as a bush food, lemon myrtle is now commonly seen in aromatherapy products due to the citrus aromas and antiseptic properties. The oil has been shown to be effective against a range of micro-organisms including salmonella, clostridium and pseudomonas. The inclusion of lemon balm in foods and medicine as an antimicrobial and antifungal agent offers protective and cleansing properties.

Passionflower

This beautiful flowering vine is used for the gentle treatment of anxiety, insomnia and irritability.

Pau d’arco

This South American native has demonstrated immune enhancing, anti-tumour and anti-fungal properties. Intestinal parasites and candida are particularly sensitive to this potent herb.

Raspberry leaf

Historically used as a tonic to prepare the uterus for labour, raspberry leaf is also a rich source of vitamin C and flavonoids including; rutin and quercetin.

Red clover

A traditional ‘blood cleanser’, antioxidant rich red clover is used in skin conditions including psoriasis, eczema and rashes. It has a mild oestrogenic activity and some studies correlate a reducing breast and prostate cancer risk.

Rosehip

Red rose petals

Cleavers

Regarded as a valuable cleansing and healing tonic, it provides a soothing and antioxidant effect on a variety of skin conditions such as psoriasis, eczema, dermatitis and rosacea. Its astringent, antiseptic, diuretic and lymphatic actions, allow this botanical to work its healing magic.

Tribulus

General tonic and aphrodisiac; enhancing physical, emotional, mental and sexual performance.

Rehmannia

A yin-balancing Chinese tonic herb— Rehmannia provides adrenal and nervous system support, enhances circulation and relieves blood sugar irregularities.

Silica

A vital trace mineral required by the body for strong and flexible joints, glowing skin and strong bones.

Panax ginseng

Holds the ability to strengthen the body’s adaptation to mental, emotional and physical stressors. Enhances energy and alertness.

Shilajit

Black eyed susan

For people who are impatient or always 'on the go'. These people are continually rushing and their lives are always overflowing with commitments. This Essence enables these people to slow down, to reach that still centre within and find calmness and inner guidance.

Kangaroo paw

This Essence is for people who are 'green' and socially inept. They do not know how to properly interact with other people. They can be very insensitive because they are so focused on themselves that they miss the cues and needs of other people around them. They can be very self centred.

Fringed violet

For treating damage to the aura where there has been shock, grief or distress e.g. from abuse or assault. This remedy maintains psychic protection and is excellent for people who are drained by others or those who unconsciously absorb the physical and emotional imbalances of others. Five corners

Resolves low self-esteem, lack of confidence and diminished self-love. This tall, proud shrub gets its name from its fruit which has five corners – and this corresponds with the anatomical position of a body with arms and legs spread, and the fifth point being the head. Paw paw

Silver princess

This Essence brings about an awareness of one's life direction. Though it may not always reveal to a person their full life plan, it will aid people who are at crossroads, helping to show them what their next step is. It helps give them an understanding of that direction. This Essence is also excellent when one has reached an important goal and yet one is left feeling very flat, thinking 'is this all there is'. In this case, it gives one a glimpse or a sense of what is next and allows one to enjoy the journey whilst striving for the goal.

Ruby

Unresolved survival issues blocking energy flow between the Earth and the 1st chakra; constipation of energies in the lower chakras and organs of the body; ambivalence about being present in the physical body; tendency to disconnect from the body during times of chaos and upheaval. Healing Qualities - energizes and balances the 1st chakra and supports the ability to ground spiritual energy completely into the physical body; increases the upward flow of nurturing Earth energy to all chakras and improves circulation throughout the body.

Smoky quartz

Ungrounded; agitated, disassociated from the physical body; body feels out of synch with the surrounding environment; detoxification happening at too rapid a pace for the physical body to keep up with; jet lag. Healing Qualities - grounding and calming; regulates and stabilizes the detoxification of unwanted energies from the physical, emotional and mental bodies; synchronizes body energy with Earth energy.

Sundew

This Essence is for people who are vague and indecisive and do not pay attention to detail. For those who tend to 'split off' easily, especially when there is work to be done. This Essence will keep them focused in the present and reduces procrastination. It is for those who tend to be vague, dreamy or drawn to drugs. This carnivorous plant is found in damp, boggy areas and has a crimson, 'earth-hugging' base. It sends up a tall stem to which delicate little flowers are attached.

Red lily

Red Lily is the same flower as the Sacred Lotus in the Buddhist tradition. It is for spirituality and connection to God in a grounded and centred way, allowing a person to have a wholeness to their spirituality by also realising the need to develop and maintain a balanced physical and emotional life. It has similar properties to that of Sundew for feeling scattered, not whole, vague and split, though Sundew applies to daily life whereas Red Lily is in relation to one's spirituality. I waded thigh deep in mud through a billabong teeming with leeches, turtles and snakes to pick this flower. Such is the joy of discovery.

Jadeite jade

Agitated, upset; easily pulled out of center by intense experiences; attached to drama; makes things harder or more involved than they need to be; unable to accept the way things are in the moment. Healing Qualities - a vibration of peace, balance and timeless simplicity; helps us stay centered in the moment with an awareness and acceptance of our true essence.

Moldavite

Caught up in the dualities of here or there, now or then; going out of the body for information rather than staying present to receive it; feeling separate and out of touch, especially with the higher self. Healing Qualities - connectedness; an energetic window into universal perspective; helps us stay present in the moment while accessing what we need from the higher realms to express our earthly potential.

Turquoise

Lack of reverence for the Earth; no gratitude for nature's gifts; too busy to honor the sacredness of life; taking without asking or giving something back; living a life without soul. Healing Qualities - attunes the energy field to the ancient wisdom and sacredness inherent in all of life; cleanses and deepens out connection to the soul of the Earth; helps us live a life of simplicity with gratitude and reverence for All.

Please note that where CCTV is in operation in our stores you may be captured on CCTV and the footage stored for 28 days. We do several things designed to keep our data secure, including administrative, technical and physical safeguards such as firewalls and encryption measures.
While we endeavour to protect our systems, website, operations and information against unauthorised access, use, modification and disclosure, due to the inherent nature of the Internet as an open global communications vehicle and other risk factors, we cannot guarantee that any information, during transmission or while stored on our systems, will be safe from intrusion by others, such as hackers.
Orchard St. takes reasonable steps to:
a) make sure that the personal information we collect, use and disclose is accurate, complete and up-to-date;
b) protect the personal information that we hold from misuse and loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure; and
c) where permitted by law, destroy or permanently anonymise personal information that is no longer needed by Orchard St. .
Orchard St. 's credit card transactions are fulfilled by an authorised banking institution. When collecting credit card information for online purchases, Orchard St. offers secured server transactions that encrypt your information in transit to help prevent others from accessing it. Personal information is stored on servers that are protected by appropriate safeguards and will be accessible by authorised employees and agents who require access relating to their responsibilities. Your credit card details are encrypted and then removed from our system once your order has been dispatched.

Apothecary and Daily Ritual Deliveries

We will endeavour to send your package within 24 hours of ordering, Monday - Friday.

All domestic packages are sent via Pack & Send. You will receive an email from Pack & Send with your tracking number when it is dispatched.
If you have ordered a Juice Cleanse or Mix and Match Juice as well as another product, everything will be delivered together by our driver.

Cleanse Delivery

1. Orders must be placed at least two days before you want to begin.
2. Once you have made your order we'll send you a confirmation email. Please ensure start date, delivery address and any special requirements are correct.
3. Please provide a delivery address where you will be present during our hours of delivery or ensure that someone will be there to receive it on your behalf.
4. Picking up your cleanse in store? Pick up your boxes in store on either Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday on the start day of your cleanse. If you have ordered a 5 day cleanse, there will be two pick up days to ensure freshness of your juices.
Unfortunately we are unable to have boxes ready the day prior to your cleanse start date.
Local deliveries
1. Local cleanses are delivered between 3pm & 9pm the evening before your start date, so Monday, Wednesday or Friday between those times.
2. If you are not present at the delivery location, please leave clear instructions, such as a door code for a locked apartment building.
3. If we have to leave the delivery behind, we'll text you once drop off has been made.
4. For freshness, 5-day cleanses will be delivered in two drops; the first will contain three boxes and the second delivery two boxes.
Courier deliveries
We can deliver to almost any address in Sydney; home, office or hotel. During this time we can unfortunately not ship outside of Sydney, hopefully we can resume these again soon.
