Niue Honey

Our story

Niue Island

Niue Honey Company exists for one reason: to save the world's bees.

Global bee populations are in serious decline, and with them, the pollinators that underpin much of the world's food supply. But a remote Pacific Island may hold part of the answer. On Niue, the Niue Honey Company has established the Pacific Bee Sanctuary, home to what is believed to be the last clean, healthy workable bee colony on earth, free from varroa mite, pesticides and the diseases driving collapse elsewhere.

Proceeds from their raw, certified organic honey fund the breeding of strong queens and clean genetic strains, sent out to help repopulate colonies around the world. Every bottle is an act of conservation.

Disease-Free Bee Ecosystem. Niue’s extreme isolation and lack of industrial agriculture mean its bees are free from Varroa mites, glyphosates, pesticides and Colony Collapse Disorder, helping protect one of the world’s healthiest bee populations.

Certified Organic Raw Honey. The Niue Honey Company harvests 100% BioGro-certified organic raw honey, with no chemicals or heat processing used to compromise the integrity of the honey or surrounding ecosystem.

Pacific Bee Sanctuary. Supported by the Pacific Islands Forum and international aid, Niue is establishing a Pacific Bee Sanctuary to breed healthy Queen bees and help repopulate colonies globally.
