Raised on Western Australia's coastlines, Tandia grew up between pearl farms, fishing lines and open water, inheriting both a love of the ocean and a respect for what we put into it. When her mother was re-diagnosed with cancer in 2016, everything sharpened. Tandia began scrutinising every ingredient in her mum's skincare, and found an industry full of chemicals harmful to skin and sea alike.

Drawing on her Marine Biology background, she set out to create something better: an SPF that was safe, sustainable and actually beautiful to wear. MOTHER SPF launched in 2020 with a single, Australian-made mineral sunscreen: rigorously tested, consciously made, and built to protect.
