Our final Leo-Aquarius eclipse season opens on 6 August, with the new moon solar eclipse landing on 13 August, and the full moon lunar eclipse closing things out on 28 August. This marks the grand finale of an 18-month cosmic lesson around balancing our individual heart (Leo) with our place in the community (Aquarius).

Eclipses have a bit of a reputation, mostly fear-based, but I view them as a gift from Nature and a blessing for your evolution, because their main job is to bring whatever has been hidden or suppressed up to the surface so you can remove obstacles to your expansion and manifestation. And with our cosmic spiritual teacher Saturn now retrograde, it's a full internal excavation.

Your job? Finally commit to a daily spiritual practice - meditation, journaling, or breathwork - and start listening to what comes up, rather than pushing it back down.

Sun in Leo 

On 17 August, the Sun moves into Leo, its most powerful home placement. Expect a real lift in clarity, energy, and confidence. But don't let the brightness fool you... the key takeaway for August is still to turn inward. Let the Sun's clarity shine a light on your subconscious habits instead of chasing external, material pursuits.

Venus in her most vulnerable placement of the year 

Venus is in her least favourite sign this month - Virgo. Venus loves idealistic, flowy, creative energy, while Virgo is the analytical friend who wants everything planned in advance. So this is not the most romantic pairing on paper. But it's brilliant for getting your life organised, sorting your routines, and having direct, honest conversations you've been putting off in your romantic relationships.

Your cosmic homework 

On 13 August, under the solar eclipse, journal on:

• Where am I getting in the way of my own freedom?

• Is there a part of myself I’m denying because I’m afraid to be different?

• Where can I stand more fully in my power?
