Among Equals has created a livelihood intervention for the women weavers of Papua New Guinea, one that enables them to break cycles of gendered violence, to support their children’s education, to afford food and healthcare, and to build better lives for themselves and their families. Through our partnership, the tradition of Bilum-weaving and storytelling is honoured and continues to cross generations from mother to daughter.
