Ceremonial matcha for calm, focused energy

Pure Japanese matcha, stone-ground and thoughtfully sourced for daily ritual.

Matcha has been prepared and shared for centuries. Ours is offered with respect for tradition, nature and the quiet rituals that shape everyday life.

{Why Orchard St. matcha}

Matcha’s value comes from how it is grown and consumed. Shade-growing and whole-leaf use create a tea that is more concentrated in compounds studied for antioxidant support and cognitive clarity than other green teas.

Sourcing and growing method directly determine matcha’s chemical profile and quality. How matcha is grown is the primary reason it is different and more potent than other green teas.

Shade-growing before harvest increases the synthesis and accumulation of key bioactive compounds

+ L-theanine

+ Caffeine

+ Chlorophyll

+ Catechins (especially EGCG)

Whole-leaf consumption (powdered tea) means these compounds are ingested in a more concentrated form than brewed green tea.

Traditional Japanese cultivation methods are central to this outcome. Matcha is not just powdered green tea. It is grown differently to optimise chemistry, flavour and colour.

O St Matcha powder is

{Benefits of Daily Matcha}

Matcha is green tea in its most complete form. But unlike brewed tea, matcha is made from finely stone-ground whole leaves, whisked directly into water. You consume the leaf itself, not just an infusion.

That difference matters.

Our matcha delivers a broader spectrum of naturally occurring compounds, offering sustained energy without the sharp rise and crash associated with coffee.

Benefits

+ Calm, focused energy

+ Supports alertness and concentration with a gentler energy curve.

+ Mental clarity

+ Naturally rich in L-theanine, associated with a calm, attentive state.

+ Antioxidant support

+ Naturally occurring caffeine balanced by L-theanine for less jitteriness or overstimulation compared to coffee

+ Slower, steadier release of energy compared to coffee

+ Supports attention and presence rather than stimulation

+ Matcha contains catechins, including EGCG, commonly associated with cellular protection.

+ Ritual and presence

{How to use}

A daily ritual, not just a drink

Preparing matcha is intentionally simple. The act of whisking encourages pause, intention and routine. For many, it becomes a grounding daily practice as much as a source of energy.

A moment to reset.

A steady kind of focus.

Support you can feel, without forcing it.

{Recipe}

Steps…

{1} - Add 1–2 bamboo scoops or ½–1 teaspoon of matcha to a bowl.

{2} - Add a small amount of hot water at around 80°C.

{3} - Whisk briskly in a zig-zag motion until smooth and lightly frothy.

{4} - Add more hot water or warm milk to taste.

Optional: Sweeten naturally with preferred sweetner if desired.

{Dosage Guidelines}

How much and when

Daily use - One serve daily is typical. A second serve can be enjoyed when energy dips later in the day.

Timing - Many people enjoy matcha in the early afternoon to support focus through the 3pm lull, without the sharp spike and crash often associated with coffee. As with any caffeinated beverage, tolerance varies.

Taste guidance

Start lighter if new to matcha. Increase strength gradually as your palate adapts.
